Merry Christmas to all men of goodwill! By that I mean, of course, men and women (down with PC-ness!).
As you may have noticed, I have been away from blogging for a while now. I guess things have been a bit hectic in Real Life™ that I haven’t had the time or the inclination to devote to this one.
Anyhow, Christmas is a special season (as I’m sure you’ll all know) when we remember the birth of Christ, especially through a Christ-Mas (which often start at midnight).
It’s the climax of an amazing and astonishing event; when God Himself became incarnate – took on our very flesh – and resided within a human womb (namely, that of Mary). He did this so that, now being a bridge between God and Man, he could suffer and atone for our sins as Divine justice demands, “for the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Imagine that! To leave the bliss of Heaven and suffer for our sake – for your sake and mine. Our Lord is a servant King, a suffering Messiah. He gives His all to us, not out of some petty motive, but out of a profound and sacrificial love. As the blog motto declares (in Latin), “Glory to God in the Highest, and on Earch peace to all men of goodwill”.
